The flagship offer
A focused 09:30–14:30 programme across three days — 15 scheduled hours of face-to-face learning. A proper start for new domiciliary care workers. The programme gives staff a strong foundation in professional practice while protecting time for the two safety-critical subjects that need deeper teaching: medication and moving & handling. It is mapped to Skills for Care's 2025 Care Certificate standards; workplace competency assessment remains the employer's responsibility.

Day 4 provides enhanced induction-level awareness. It does not replace the full standalone Dementia Awareness, Autism & Learning Disability or PBS-Informed Practice courses — those deeper modules can be booked later for refreshers or workforce development.
The extra specialist day costs £22.50 per learner when all eight provider places are filled, and staff progress into employer-led shadowing, role-specific induction and workplace competency assessment with a stronger specialist-care foundation.
Additional training courses
The 3-day or 4-day induction is the complete starter package. These courses are then booked individually when a provider needs deeper learning, refreshers or focused workforce development. Safe Medication Practice is available now; further modules are being released through 2026/27.
3.5 hours · face-to-face. Person-centred medicines support, consent and refusal, safe administration, MAR/eMAR, PRN, time-sensitive medicines, errors, covert medication, family involvement and delegated-task boundaries. 20-mark knowledge and scenario assessment. Classroom completion does not by itself confirm workplace medication competency.

About your trainer

David James Ridley
Founder & Trainer · Right Support Training & Consultancy
David James Ridley has almost two decades of adult social care experience across frontline practice, management and service development. Training is practical, scenario-led and focused on safe professional judgement in real care settings.
That matters in a classroom. Every course is built from real domiciliary care scenarios — the decisions staff will actually face — rather than slides read aloud. Groups are kept small, the safety-critical subjects get the hours they need, and learners leave with guided materials and a controlled Certificate of Completion.
We also have a qualified NAPPI trainer joining us on a consultancy basis for the specialist NAPPI pathways.

Practical Care Consultancy
Regulatory consultancy across England and Scotland, with specialist CQC and Care Inspectorate support: mock inspections and quality audits, service improvement and turnaround, governance and compliance, Registered Manager mentoring and ongoing packages, from David and our Scotland specialist, Ally.
What providers say
Genuine feedback from providers who have used our training or consultancy services, published with their agreement. This is separate from anything said about our care and support services.
We are a new training and consultancy service, so there is no published feedback here yet. As providers complete courses or consultancy work with us, their comments will appear on this page.

Stated plainly
The rest of this website tells you exactly where our CQC registration stands, so this page follows the same rule: here is the honest position on accreditation, in plain words.
These are professional development training programmes for adult social care. They are not third-party CPD accredited, and we will not describe them as accredited until that is true.
The induction programmes are mapped to the 2025 Care Certificate standards. Classroom learning alone does not complete the full Care Certificate: employers remain responsible for workplace competency assessment, and our courses are built to hand over into that assessment properly.
Learners receive a controlled Certificate of Completion, and providers receive attendance and course records.

How booking works
01
Email bookings@rightsupporttraining.co.uk with the course or induction you are interested in, roughly how many staff, and whether you would host it or prefer a venue.
02
You get the confirmed content, dates and price in writing before anything is booked. For NAPPI, this step includes the provider needs assessment.
03
Face-to-face delivery at your premises or the venue, with guided materials, assessment where applicable, completion certificates and course records for your files.
Straight to the trainer, not a ticket queue.
